Bodhran players and those of you who'd like to learn how to play this ancient drum of Ireland. Now is your opportunity to study under the experienced eye of Mance Grady, the first bodhran player to be recognized as a Master Player by the National Endowment for the Arts and sanctioned to teach this instrument. Mance has been a bodhran player for 33 years and a percussionist for 45 years. His beginnings were well grounded in the classical tradition under the tutelage of Walter Tokarczyk, percussionist for the Boston Pops Orchestra and Boston Symphony Orchestra. As a player, Mance has performed with the best of the best in Irish traditional music. As a teacher, Mance stands apart with his uncanny ability to recognize "bad habits" that prevent students from advancing as they should and offering positive direction to get you on the right track. Sign up now for this 2 hour workshop on playing the bodhran, the heartbeat of Irish music.
